Hi there,

Thank you for stopping by whether on purpose or even if you’ve unintentionally stumbled across my page!

I’m Clemmie and here is where I get to share my passion and love of food with you all. I’ve always been an enthusiastic ‘foodie’ from a young age, (growing up with a dad who regularly bakes most weekends definitely rubbed off!) and working a ski season as a chalet host cooking on a daily basis also helped.

But it was only really when I went to Australia in the summer of 2015 that I fell in love with food in a whole new way. Australia has become one of the best destinations for food, and cities like Melbourne are now renowned for being one of the culinary capitals of the world! Day one of my month-long trip in Australia and I couldn’t resist the urge to take a picture of the brunch I ordered at Melbourne’s popular cafe ‘Top Paddock’. Serving everything from classics like Eggs Benedict to their famous ‘hot cakes’, which I was told I had to try, the presentation was incredible with edible dainty flowers colouring the plate and even the positioning of the food being executed meticulously. And my experience of artfully presented food did not end there. From then on, every café or restaurant I visited followed this style of presenting the food in a way that made you want to take a photo before taking your first bite.

I was so inspired that I decided to set up a blog on Instagram while I was in Australia to share my food experiences and I have carried it on back in England. It has encouraged me to be more creative with my cooking- from using more exotic ingredients, to presenting each creation in a more aesthetically appealing and arty way.

My food philosophy: I am not a vegetarian or vegan but will often make creations that cater for this lifestyle, it’s fun to try new things and I’m all for making food that everyone can enjoy! I’m a firm believer of ‘everything in moderation’- balance is key! Healthy eating is important and I will often make healthy dishes but this does not mean that I won’t let myself enjoy dishes that don’t tick all the healthy boxes. I’m always open to trying new things and enjoy testing out new food trends that come and go.
