The Lido, Bristol

Nestled in beautiful Clifton, this little oasis has brought a lot of pleasure while I’ve been studying at Bristol University. It’s pure escapism- you feel like you could be on holiday rather than only a walkable distance from university.

It’s got an outside heated pool and spa which are beautiful and definitely worth using for a day and it also has a lovely poolside café and restaurant. The food is utterly divine with a scrumptious breakfast/brunch menu offering light options of museli, granola, fruits and sourdough toast with preserves or larger plates of sourdough toast with smoked salmon and cream cheese, bacon and grape mustard sandwiches, poached eggs with peppers and wood roast kippers. They also do a lunch menu (which I’m yet to try), poolside bar snacks, and their dinner menu is absolutely delicious!
