Superfood blueberry breakfast smoothie

Making your own smoothies is becoming so much easier with kit like the NutriBullet hitting the market.

I absolutely love being able to make my own smoothies because it’s a great way to use up fruit that’s not so appetising on its own like over-ripe bananas- I find the window in which I can eat a banana on its own is very small- so being able to bung it into a smoothie with a whole load of other ingredients means I don’t notice if it’s slightly over-ripe, and this way there’s no waste!

Even in the winter, I also love being able to make smoothies because it’s a great way to get those important nutrients and vitamins that your average hearty carb-heavy wintery meal doesn’t usually include. This recipe is great and is perfect as a breakfast smoothie.
