Savoury

Salad Jar, lunch on the go

After seeing some salad jar ideas, I decided to make one as it seemed like a great way to enjoy lunch on the go! It’s delicious because it helps mix all the flavours together – you can lightly shake it so that the ingredients all marinade with one another so that it’s bursting with flavour and it’s also really easy to wash up and doesn’t seem to leave lingering smells unlike the case with a lot of Tupperware. Being a university student I also sometimes need lunch on the go for when I spend whole days at the library, and buying sandwiches or salads out daily can get expensive, so this is a tasty solution to solve that problem!

Halloumi, avocado and pomegranate salad jar

Ingredients

4 slices of halloumi grilled

1/2 avocado sliced

Handful of cherry tomatoes chopped

1 tbsp pomegranates

Coriander

1 tbsp Pine nuts

1 tbsp Sesame seeds

Olive oil- generous drizzle

1 tsp honey

¼ Lime

Instructions

Add all the ingredients to a jar or container- the order shouldn’t matter as it will all be mixed up. Bring some lime with you but otherwise it’s ready to eat!
